Wrist Extension Brace with Thumb Support

The new Wrist Extension Brace with Thumb Support by RCAI prevents unwanted flexion/extension of the wrist and limits extreme motion of the joints of the thumb. A bendable metal stay limits radial and palmar abduction of the CMC joint, and flexion/extension of the MCP joint for conditions such as Gamekeeper's Thumb, de Quervain's tendonitis, arthritis, inflammation, sprains, and other disorders of the wrist and thumb, while the adjustable aluminum palmar spoon is contoured for precise wrist positioning. The wrist strap provides extra support and prevents distal migration of the splint on the wrist. Made of a washable, perforated neoprene material, the Wrist Extension Brace with Thumb Support allows for a broad range of adjustment and compression. The brace allows moisture to escape, while retaining heat. An optional dorsal stay (590-STY) is available for increased wrist stabilization or post cast removal.
